Wipro Givon USA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to manage our Manufacturing Engineering and Programming Departments. to join our team.  This position   | responsible for prioritizing and scheduling work in the Engineering/Programming Department as assigned including; planning manufacturing processes, cost estimating, and configuration control.

Abilities - Are you a good fit:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and a minimum of five years directly related experience in an manufacturing environment, three of which should be in a supervisory/lead capacity, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    Prior knowledge of New Product Introduction processes and an ERP system – Epicor is a plus. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, customers, and/or other personnel 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints, drawings and specifications. 
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, familiarity with CAD/CAM manufacturing and experience in CAD software preferred. 
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and decision making skill. 
  • Must be able to sit or stand for at least 10 hours a day.

Job Duties and Responsibilities - What will you do daily:
 
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Engineering/Programming Department.
  • Responsible for tooling department 
  • Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Acts as a liaison with major customers to ensure ongoing service support is maintained.  As required, makes periodic visits to customer facilities to review customer requirements and company performance.
  • Understanding the basic principles and functions of an ERP/MRP system, including but not limited to, using parts lists and related drawings from customers creates Bill of Materials (BOM) and enters the information in the company MRP system.
  • Using parts lists, related drawings and specifications from customers develops manufacturing routings and tooling work orders in the company MRP system, with sequences to enable the manufacture of tooling, detail parts and assemblies.  The manufacturing routings and tool work orders created are based on ensuring the most efficient manufacturing methods are used to produce a quality product that meets all customer requirements and specifications;
  • Confers with management, production control, quality and shop personnel regarding manufacturing capabilities, manufacturing improvements, production schedules, quoting and other considerations to facilitate production processes;
  • Confers with customers to determine or clarify product specifications and requirements.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions and customer quotes.
  • Reviews customer purchase order changes, drawing and specification changes, for incorporation and cost impact.
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
  • Assists in establishing and monitoring variance reports.  Determines sources of variances and makes appropriate corrections.
  • Meets established standards for productivity and quality.  Confers with supervisor when problems arise, which impact expected level of performance.
  • Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to ISO 9002/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities - What will you do daily: 

  • Synthesize business information and data, and formulate into cohesive communicative deliverables to the customer
  • Plan and organize customer meetings; lead presentations and program reviews
  • Act as a liaison between the customer the internal cross-functional team to ensure positive and proactive communications
  • Responsible for managing progress, identifying and troubleshooting bottlenecks, collecting status, communicating changes and urgent needs, and facilitating cross-functional cooperation to drive internal goals and meet customer requirements
  • Coordinate with supervision and production area personnel, as required, to prepare, deliver, and distribute parts within the facility, to other Wipro facilities as well as to and from customers and suppliers
  • Work with team members to identify and prioritize expedited requests and ensure coordination of materials and bin stock for delivery to users as required
  • Support customer with risk assessment and mitigation plans; Coordinate work-around and expediting plans internally and communicate progress with team members, customer, and management
  • Responsible for contract review and management; responsible for providing guidance and feedback across leadership and departments in regards contract changes. Proactively manage contractual expirations, continuations, etc. Identify and manage cost issues to meet expected program margins, and manage recovery plans as needed.
  • Manages overall customer demand releases to ensure adherence to contract requirements
  • Manages any customer schedule change requests (acceleration or deceleration) by coordinating internally to ensure changes support internal and contractual requirements
  • Program ownership of sales forecasting and coordination with planning for evaluating future prospects and level loading existing demand
  • Reviews and evaluates technical and business aspects of customer requests for proposals and/or change requests
  • Ensures changes in scope are thoroughly documented and approved through the standardized change management process
  • Coordinates with engineering, supply chain, quality and operations to assure engineering and programming are developed to meet customer specifications
  • Work with Business Development and Division Contract team to negotiate contract terms and conditions
  • Coordinate with New Product Implementation team during program start-up to develop and communicate program first lot tracking plan
  • May occasionally perform special projects, including new part introductions and improvement initiatives
  • Ensures programs follow commercial, defense, government standards and specifications as applicable
  • Facilitates payment collections as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
